1、 Instrument Introduction
The handheld canopy analyzer can be widely used in agricultural production and scientific research. To investigate canopy light energy resources, measure light interception in plant canopies, and study the relationship between crop growth and development, yield and quality, and light energy utilization, this instrument is used for measuring and recording photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in the 400nm-700nm wavelength range. The measurement value is in micromoles per square meter second (μ mol/㎡ s). Simultaneously using parameters such as PAR readings and GPS positioning information can provide the Leaf Area Index (LAI) of the plant canopy.
2、 Functional Features
The handheld canopy analyzer is designed as an integrated system, including a LCD display screen, operation buttons, storage SD card, probe sensor, external sensors, etc. The instrument menu is easy to operate, small in size, and convenient to carry. There are two storage methods for data storage: SD card and wireless upload (optional). SD card is a commonly used card in the market with large storage capacity and convenient data management; Wireless upload has fast networking speed, and web pages can clearly view measured PAR values, LAI values, zenith angles, and GPS positioning information. There is a reasonable power management plan for power consumption. During the testing process, the instrument automatically enters standby mode according to the actual situation. When needed, press the wake-up button to wake up the screen and observe the actual data. There are two measurement methods: automatic and manual. The minimum interval for automatic measurement is 1 minute, the maximum is 60 minutes, and the maximum number of automatic measurements is 999; Manual measurement can be collected manually according to actual needs.
